Effect of SCFA treatment on FoxP3, a transcription factor responsible for the control of T regulatory cells
Advisor: Dr. Mark Feitelson, Ph.D., Department of Biology, Temple University 2014
Performed Hemotoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, and immunohistochemical staining in order to determine if T regulatory cells played a role in the regression of tumor size and number in our mouse model.
Effect of Probiotic treatment on the development of HCC in HBx transgenic mice
Advisor: Dr. Mark Feitelson, Ph.D., Department of Biology, Temple University 2013
Interpreted microarray data of 27 genes influenced by treatment with a probiotic, in addition to utilizing extensive research databases in order to determine the key component of the probiotic that elicited the observed effects.
